Hermannhof winery is another popular stop on the Hermann area wine tour. The setting for this winery is the old Krupp Brewery building. The historic building has been extensively remodeled and has beautiful copper roofs and real wood plank floors. Though guided tours aren't offered, you can look around the cellars yourself. I was pleased with the wine tasting afterwards and I enjoyed some fresh baked bread with a cheese and sausage plate on their shaded patio. Hermannhof has a very large patio area behind the winery, with some tables under a trellis of grapes and some inside a gazebo. The adjacent Hofgarten courtyard is also beautiful and on some days it's open for the public to enjoy, usually on the weekends.
